Asian New Year Parade
Annual Lunar New Year Parade and Festival, February 5th
Celebrate with your family in Chinatown while watching a parade and tasting yummy dishes from local vendors. Expect to see elaborate floats, musicians, magicians, acrobats, and more.
The 18th annual Asian Lunar Parade takes place at 1PM, downtown at Mott Street.

Winter Jam
Central Park
January 28th, 11 am to 3 pm
Take the kids to Central Park for the Winter Jam. If Mother Nature won’t bring the snow then Gore Mountain will step in and transform a section of the park into a winter wonderland! This event is fun for all ages. Your family can learn to ski, snowshoe, sled, snowboard and more. Food trucks, hot chocolate available for purchase or visit Max Brenner at Union Square (Chocolate by the bald man) and have a hot cup of cocoa and chocolate fondue! The winter jam take place 11 am to 3 pm at Central Park’s Bandshell Area (enter at 72nd Street). Free family event

The Winter Carnival take place January 27th through February 4th. This year's winter carnival features an ice castle, silent disco, Ice Ball, free skating lessons, curling lessons, and all sorts of entertainment. This event is free and for all ages.
