Schedule & Weekly Themes:

Adventures in Art Camp | July 22-26, 2024
How did Dutch tiles and Chinese porcelain end up in Fairfield? Who are some local artists and illustrators who made a big impact? Campers will use the arts to explore Fairfield’s local and global connections while flexing their creative muscles and experimenting with a range of art mediums. If your kids love drawing, painting, or making things by hand, then this is the camp to join! Campers will practice drawing en plein air, paint with natural dyes, learn how to sculpt with clay, make their own cyanotypes, design ceramic tiles, weave their own bookmarks, and more. At the end of the week, families will be invited to visit an art show created by campers!

Spy Camp | July 29- August 2, 2024
Somewhere deep inside the Fairfield Museum, an elite group of recruits is lurking in the shadows, preparing to take on top-secret missions. No one really knows who they are, or for that matter, what they’re really up to. Now it’s your turn to join their ranks. Each day at Spy Camp is filled with top-secret briefings and activities that will put spy skills and street smarts to the test. Continuing in the local traditions of the Culper Spy Ring, aspiring recruits will hone their craft and hit the streets to run training missions. Develop a disguise for cover, make and break codes, create your own invisible ink, and discover escape techniques. All of this and more awaits young recruits!

Innovation Camp | August 5-9, 2024
Ever wonder how designers and inventors come up with their ideas? Campers will discover inventions from Fairfield and Connecticut while learning about the design process in order to come up with their own inventions. Dive into the creativity, collaboration, and communication skills that are key to STEAM learning, setting up your camper for future innovations!

Archaeology Camp | August 12-16, 2024
Underneath the grounds of the Fairfield Museum’s historic town green lie artifacts waiting to be uncovered. The Museum is looking for a dedicated group of young learners to assist! Young archaeologists will participate in a wide variety of activities, including scavenger hunts, missions, and beach digs. Campers will learn how to look closely at objects from the Museum’s collection, uncovering their secrets. They will also examine real archeological objects uncovered from the grounds near the Museum as they learn what it means to be an archeologist.

History Camp | August 19-23, 2024
Journey back in time with the Fairfield Museum! Through a variety of fun and engaging crafts and projects, your camper will explore many of the Museum’s historic buildings.
