When it comes to Valentine’s Day, the way to anyone’s heart is through their tummy with some sweet treats. However, sometimes our family gets so busy that it’s hard for me to carve out time for prepping, baking and cleanup. So, I like to make it easy on myself and pick up something delicious from the grocery store bakery department. That way I can add my own personal, creative touch and save time for more hugs and kisses around Valentine’s Day.
My favorite treats to use when getting crafty with baked goods are yummy cupcakes. There are countless ways you can decorate those sweet little delights for any occasion. Also, there is always a great variety of flavor options to choose from in my grocer’s bakery department. Personally, I’m always a sucker for red velvet. :)
For Valentine’s Day this year, I thought it would be fun to make some “love bug” cupcakes. The best part about this project is that I picked up all the materials while on one of my routine runs to the grocery store.
Check out my tutorial video below so you can build your very own “love bug” cupcakes for your Valentine this year. These little critters are sure to put a big smile on your Valentine’s face!
