Did you know that there are travel agencies that are Authorized Disney Vacation Planners? These agencies specialize in all things Disney and the travel agents who are a part of these agencies live, breathe and sleep Disney!
So why is that important? Well, if you have ever tried to book a Disney vacation to any of the Disney Destinations, I am sure that you quickly realized that it can be an overwhelming process. Let’s focus just on Walt Disney World…
- Should you stay on-site at a Disney Resort or at one of the many Good Neighbor Hotels?
- How many days should you visit the parks?
- Do you want to visit one park per day or hop to multiple parks each day?
- (When dining plans return) Is the dining plan right for you? If so, which one? If not, how much should you budget for dining?
- What is the best time of year to go for crowds, weather, budget?
These are the “basics” you need to decide on just to get some initial pricing! I can’t tell you how many times I have had clients say to me “We’ve been wanting to go for years, but every time I went online to start planning, I got so overwhelmed I gave up!” If this sounds familiar, just know you aren’t alone…and there is help!! A travel agent who specializes in Disney will have the knowledge and first-hand experience to go through these options with you and help you determine what will work best for YOUR vacation!
But what if you have been to Walt Disney World several times already and feel confident in your planning abilities? Can a travel agent still be helpful? Yes, you read that correctly- it will not cost you a penny more to book your trip with a travel agent! Now, here is where people get skeptical and ask “So, you work for free? That can’t be true.” Well, not exactly. We do not work for free, but our services are free to our clients! The way that works is that Disney builds in a commission to every package, so if you book directly through Disney, that commission amount goes back to Disney. If you book through a travel agent, that commission amount goes to the travel agency. You pay the same amount either way! In fact, many times, travel agents’ clients end up paying LESS because travel agents are up early applying promotions to packages when they are released by Disney!
So, let’s recap…why should you use a travel agent who specializes in Disney Destinations?
- They will use their in-depth knowledge and first-hand experience to help you book the package that is best for you and your family.
- They will help you with as little or as much of the planning as you would like.
- You still have full control over your plans, the only things that you will not be able to do are make a modification to your package and make payments (your travel agent will happily do these things for you!)

- If any issues come up (which we hope they don’t, but if they do) your travel agent will be there every step of the way to help you resolve those issues.
