Did you know that there is an independent book store in Monroe that can help you find the perfect book for yourself, your child or for a gift?

Turning the Page is located in Clock Tower Square on the Stepney side of Monroe. When you walk in the owner, Pia Ledina, greets you and is ready to help and offer suggestions.

I stopped in to browse, I didn't have anything specific in mind. As soon as I walked in I knew that I could spend hours there looking through all of the books. The shop is inviting and cozy with a space for children to hang out and read. The books are neatly organized into smaller sections which makes it easier to navigate.

The owner, Pia, came over to me and introduced herself. After we talked for a minute she had the perfect recommendation for my 5 year old son who loves non-fiction and must know how things work. Like I said, I didn't have anything specific in mind but Pia was able to pick out bits and pieces of info from the very casual conversation we were having and steer me into a direction.

The very knowledgeable Pia was a school librarian for more than 10 years, she holds a Masters of Library Science and Teaching Certification in School Library Media. She knows her stuff!

Stop by and visit Pia at Turning the Page, 477 Main Street, Monroe CT 06468
