August is National Peach Month when the peach season is typically at its peak. Luckily we live in an area that provides favorable conditions for growing peaches which means various local farms and orchards open their doors for pick-your-own peach activities. Additionally, many farmers' markets offer fresh, locally grown peaches during the peak season.

Many varieties of peaches & plums with a new variety ripening about every 4 – 6 days in August and early September.
