THE CHILDREN'S DEPARTMENT

Materials for check-out: Books, magazines, audiobooks, Wonderbooks, and museum passes.

Available for use:
Four computers with internet and black & white or color printing capabilities.
Two special computers called Early Literacy Stations that provide fun, interactive games related to literacy, math, science, and more.
Children’s play area full of toys, colorful murals, comfortable seating, and an enormous chalkboard.

Storytime
Story Time themes and age ranges change seasonally. Please refer to the Children's Dept. on the Library's website for the most up to date info.

Toddler Time - Ages 2-3
Stories, music, and a simple craft.
Mondays at 9:30 AM in the Merwin Room.
Registration is not required.

Preschool Time - Ages 3-5
Stories, songs, and a simple craft.
Thursdays at 10:00 AM in the Merwin Room.
Registration is not required.

Baby Time - Ages birth-2
Songs and a story.
Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 11:00 AM in the Merwin Room.
Registration is not required.

Book Clubs
Please refer to the Children's Dept. on the Library's website for the most up to date info.

Grades 1-2 - Book Dragons Book Club
Grades 3-5 - Chapter Chatter Book Club
Grades 6-8 - Stuck in the Middle (Grade) Book Club

Meet once a month in the Merwin Room and require registration.
Kids are expected to read the book before the meeting. Kids who don't finish the book are still welcome to join, but there will be spoilers! Copies of the books are available for borrowing at the Children's Circulation Desk.

THE TEEN'S DEPARTMENT

Two charging tables where teens can work while charging their laptops and phones - these tables also have whiteboard tops for collaborative work.
