A fun, educational, and social way to learn how to fish! Whether you’ve never held a rod, or are looking to improve your skills, students benefit from the years of fishing and teaching experience from instructors.
Get Schooled is run by 2 teachers and a retired police officer whose mission is to provide a safe, and fun fishing experience on Long Island Sound as well as local lakes and rivers. We provide individual attention and we follow state and local regulations and teach safety extraction measures to release the fish.
At Get Schooled students have the opportunity to develop a love of the outdoors away from screens! Students will learn new skills such as tying knots, casting techniques, equipment care, fish identification, safe fish extraction, and more.
The kids will make new friends, have fun, and learn how to catch some fish!
Camp Details
Days/Hours: 8:00am - 12:00pm, Monday through Thursday. Friday is the rain makeup day.
Ages: 8+
Location: Camp meets at Black Rock Bait & Tackle, 3309 Fairfield Ave, Bridgeport, CT.
From Black Rock B&T, transportation will be provided to various fishing locations depending on weather, tides, and from our advanced local intel!
Gear & bait is provided!

Week 1 - June 24th to June 27th
Week 2 - July 1st to July 4th *Camp will be held on July 4th, no rain make-up day this week.
Week 3 - July 8th to July 11th
Week 4 - July 15th to July 18th
Week 5 - July 22nd to July 25th
